Environmental Technology for Carbon Dioxide Sequestration in Aquifers

This project aims at developing environmental technologies needed for reducing the atmospheric CO₂ concentration. For details click on Project Description.

The project consortium encompasses Danish research institutions, industry partners comprising Vattenfall, Rambøll and GEO. Furthermore are the foreign research institutions Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. (USA), ETH (Switzerland) and Heriot-Watt Univ. (UK) involved.

The project duration period is 2010-2013.

The total budget of the project amounts to DKR 26,490,576. (euro 3,555,782.)

The project is supported by a grant of the Danish Council for Strategic Research (DSF-09-067234) of DKR 19,991,979. (euro 2,683,487.)
